My Soul, Where Are You?

$200.00

In this month-long intensive, we will read, write, and think alongside C.G. Jung’s The Red Book. We’ll examine the book’s conceptual framework, its emphasis on meditation and “soul-retrieval,” its understanding of creativity and expression, and its singular, obsessive nature.

We’ll talk about what it means for artwork to be “ahead of its time” and we’ll examine the distinction between the “spirit of the depths” and the “spirit of the time.” As a work of art that deeply challenges distinctions between personal life and professional life, we’ll consider the ways in which The Red Book is a precursor to much of contemporary literature.

We will explore techniques and methods used in the book. This will be a month of digging deep and seeing what emerges.

We will meet on Sundays for the month of November (morning PST / midday EST / evening CET)

After you register, you will receive an email with the syllabus and additional information. If you have questions, please email climbing.down.intensives@gmail.com
